ADVENTURE NON-FICTION: Tracking the Void at the Contemporary Art Center Las Vegas
ADVENTURE NON-FICTION: Tracking the Void is a three-channel video installation. Each of the three channels is a distinct sample of the Las Vegas landscape. From left to right: A forward and reverse rotation around the corner of the abandoned “Queen of Hearts” in downtown Las Vegas, now part of the site of the new City Hall; at center is the Las Vegas Strip, with an endless stream of visitors passing and architecture already mutated or erased. And finally, the ghost of a darkened “locals" casino and sports bar briefly owned by the pop-icon Michael Jackson. At the time of this recording it was a cast-off hiding an interior homeless encampment.
